BSA Troop 1222

BSA Troop 1222

In October, 2011, Boy Scouts and adult leaders from Troop 1222  traveled to Inks Lake State Park  near Burnet, TX, for overnight camping and work toward merit badges.  One requirement for CANOEING merit badge is, "g. Swim, tow, or push a swamped canoe 50 feet to shallow water. In the shallow water, empty the swamped canoe and reenter it."  (reprinted from BSA merit badge requirements, "Canoeing")

The photo shows Scouts working on this requirement!  Note floatation jackets and adult supervision.  Safety is paramount!

Ways to Support BSA Troop 1222

BackMe

It’s that time of year – when many of us are shopping online for holiday gifts.  When doing so – please use the website  - you can still shop many of the websites that we all enjoy (Amazon, ebay, Walmart, BestBuy, Target, Camping World, etc…) – but when you use backme.org – a percentage of the sales goes to our Troop!

Please encourage family and friends to also use this website!
